A Living Terroir,
A Lasting Legacy

A Living Terroir,
A Lasting Legacy

Every row, every vine at One Belvedere is an intentional part of our story—a story of Tuscany, of Chianti Classico, and of wines that honor both tradition and innovation. The diversity of our soils allows us to craft wines with distinct identity, while staying deeply connected to the natural rhythms of our estate.

Our 10 hectares of vineyards, set across rolling Tuscan hills, are a living expression of terroir—shaped by the sea millions of years ago, sculpted by nature, and refined through generations of care.

Marine Sands - Villore
(Southwest Area)

Long ago, the hills of Villore were submerged beneath the ancient Pliocene Sea. Today, this legacy lives in our marine-origin soils—rich in sand, clay, and fossil sediment—creating ideal conditions for vines to thrive. These soils offer a natural balance of drainage and water retention, resulting in wines that are elegant, mineral-driven, fresh, and long-lived.

CLAY & SEA SILT
(northwest slope)

Our northwest parcels feature clay-rich earth interwoven with fine sea silt, known for its mineral content and moisture retention. Even in dry summers, the roots remain nourished, allowing for concentrated fruit and balanced yields. The wines from these plots reflect their origin – structured yet soft, expressive yet refined.

& marl pebbles - southern slope
(Chianti Classico zone)

In our southern vineyards, deep riverbed soils of sand and gravel combine with surface marl pebbles, a signature of the Tuscan wine region. These elements ensure excellent drainage, promote even ripening, and give our grapes a distinct minerality and aromatic depth. The wines that result are precise, vibrant, and true to their landscape.

At One Belvedere Tuscany, our vineyards are home to both historic Tuscan varietals and international grapes that thrive in the region’s complex soils and sunlit slopes. Each bottle tells a deeper story—not only of grape and craftsmanship, but of the land itself: sea-shaped hills, ancient soils, and the rhythm of nature. Our commitment to quality begins in the vineyard, guided by a deep respect for tradition, terroir, and the timeless spirit of Tuscany.

our grape varieties

sangiovese

our grape varieties

sangiovese

The soul of Chianti Classico, Sangiovese delivers lively acidity, fine tannins, and vibrant notes of plum, red fruit, and spice. Whether in pure form or blended, it offers structure, age-worthiness, and a clear sense of place.

canaiolo

Canaiolo

A traditional companion to Sangiovese, Canaiolo adds softness, color, and floral elegance to the blend. Its gentle tannins and fruity notes bring harmony and balance.

merlot

Merlot

Now well-established in Tuscany, Merlot thrives in our soils, producing wines with round texture, ripe black fruit, and early approachability—yet it also rewards aging with complexity.

Trebbiano Toscano

Trebbiano Toscano

A classic Italian white grape, Trebbiano brings freshness and bright acidity. Often used in blends, it can also shine alone, expressing the mineral qualities of our terroir.

Malvasia Bianca Lunga

Malvasia Bianca Lunga

This delicate white varietal adds aromatic nuance, with hints of white flowers and stone fruit. It features in fresh wines as well as in traditional Tuscan dessert wines like Vin Santo.

San Colombano

San Colombano

An ancient, lesser-known white grape, San Colombano brings light floral notes and natural structure, offering a unique glimpse into the biodiversity of Tuscan viticulture.
