WELCOME TO ONE BELVEDERE ECOLOGICAL FARMING
From its inception, One Belvedere’s team has had its heart set on promoting by example the most environmentally friendly and socially conscious farming practices in use today. Standing at the forefront of ecological science in combining agricultural innovation with age-old farming traditions has been the main motive and leading concern lying at the very basis of our project. Since Spring 2023, One Belvedere has signed a collaboration with Azzera for Carbon footprint calculation.
Drawing its roots from the insightful research of Japanese farmer and agricultural philosopher Masanobu Fukuoka (1913-2008) and the work of the father of holistic management, Allan Savory, as well as a few épioneers who addressed the climate crisis since the 1970’s, regenerative agriculture is today recognized as being the one and only means for implementing the most sustainable farming methods we know of, keeping in mind that the alternatives are both harmful to the planet and to human integrity.
AGROECOLOGY
Agraoecology seeks to find tailor-made solutions to local problems. It encourages the use of collective knowledge, combining the latest agronomic science with farmers’ practical know-how. By supporting farmers’ autonomy and adaptability, agroecology helps to put producers and communities at the forefront of ecological and social change.

REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE
Regenerative agriculture approaches farming and its repercussions along 6 main guiding principles (though other sub-categories can be found throughout):
Minimizing soil disturbance and soil loss.
Carbon sequestration and CO2 reduction; preserving and restoring natural resources; reducing and replacing off-farm inputs.
Water conservation and monitoring; depolluting processes.
Maximizing plants diversity, both through crop rotation and cover crops.
Long-term viability and livelihood benefits for farmers.
Circular and social solidarity economic model.
